Building Community

Building community, engaging one another, visiting one another, deeply caring about one another strengthens us. It gives us support, encouragement, and hope. That is what happened with the early Church. The people of God ate together. They prayed and worshipped and had Holy Communion together. They praised God together and they gave generously. They gave of their time, and they gave their profits to those who had need both inside their community of faith, and to those in the larger community – Gentiles, Romans, Jews, slave and free, men and women, young and old.
