Facing Plakstone, a brand with a fifty-year history in the stone industry, we pursued the design of a website for two different target audiences: architects and stone merchants.

The functional basis of the website based on sales while maintaining an artistic and minimalist approach to communicate with architects was the point of design conflict, and the visual basis for the two target audiences was their point of commonality. We tried to reconcile the marketing and sales approach with the aesthetic and branding-based approach through the use of interactive and formable elements.

We chose Zora for their insight into the construction industry when reviewing design brands. They consistently maintained creativity and high quality, along with focused support throughout the design process.

we’re excited to explore the artistic vision and challenges behind the website design for Tabdesign Studio. The studio, led by an architect with a playful approach to innovation, seamlessly integrates new technologies and materials into projects while maintaining a minimalist design ethos.

The result is a website that not only captures the essence of Tabdesign Studio’s architectural approach but also provides a seamless and engaging user experience.

Our primary challenge was to reflect the studio’s innovative yet minimalist approach. We needed to create a website that showcased the use of cutting-edge technologies and materials, while maintaining a clean and cohesive design that highlighted the preferred color palette of black, white, and earthy tones.

• Innovative Elements: We incorporated dynamic website elements that reflect the latest technological advancements, mirroring the studio’s innovative design philosophy.

•  Minimalistic Harmony: Emphasizing empty spaces, we created a balance between content and negative space, highlighting the projects’ value and achieving a minimalistic harmony.

•  Unified Visual Identity: By extracting and applying the colors used in architectural projects, we established a consistent and unified visual identity across the website, reinforcing the brand’s aesthetic.

The website design for my architecture business was done by the professional team at Zora and they went beyond my expectations. The website was designed in a high quality and not only met all my needs but also exceeded my expectations. I would like to sincerely thank the talented team at Zora.

Aida, an architect with a passion for clothing design, sought our expertise to craft a portfolio that would mirror her distinctive approach to form and material. Her work presents a unique aesthetic challenge, characterized by a bold interplay of creativity in form and simplicity in texture and material.

The result is a portfolio that beautifully balances minimalism with dynamic forms, capturing the unique blend of simplicity and creativity that defines Aida’s work.

Our primary challenge was to capture the essence of Aida’s design philosophy—where bold, distinctive forms meet a serene simplicity in materials and textures. This required us to balance the dynamic and the minimalistic within a cohesive portfolio design.

Showcasing Form: We featured the skyline of all her projects on the cover page, highlighting the diversity and cohesion of Aida’s design approach.

• Promoting Simplicity: The overall design embraced minimalism, with reduced color saturation in project images to emphasize form over material and color.

• Dynamic Layout: Bold shapes and special forms were integrated within a clean, minimalistic framework to reflect Aida’s architectural essence.

• Neutral Aesthetic: By lowering color saturation, we achieved a neutral and timeless look that prioritizes form, aligning perfectly with Aida’s design philosophy.

Mahtab, with six years of experience in architectural design, aimed to further her career in Italian architecture. Despite her expertise and high-quality projects, her previous portfolio led to a rejection. Determined to succeed this time, Mahtab entrusted us with creating a portfolio that would fully showcase her skills and help her achieve her goal within a tight deadline.

Meeting the Tight Deadline
This challenge required strategic prioritization of tasks to ensure that the final product met the high standards necessary to advance her career. We had to plan every step, from initial concept development to the final presentation, ensuring that no detail was overlooked while adhering to the strict timeline. This challenge pushed us to be innovative and resourceful, leveraging our expertise and streamlined processes to deliver a compelling portfolio on time.

• Strategic Document Enhancement
Improving and completing the documents was crucial. Each project needed to tell a different story, demonstrating Mahtab’s multifaceted approach and diverse skills. We wrote a scenario for each project, discussing its purpose, approach, and unique details to best convey Mahtab’s architectural philosophy.

• Highlighting Versatility
To show Mahtab’s multitasking ability, we filled gaps in each project strategically. One project was developed from a research-oriented perspective, another focused on sections, plans, and functions, and others included detailed diagrams. This approach highlighted Mahtab’s ability to handle various aspects of architectural design, emphasizing her versatility.

• Minimalist Design
A minimal portfolio was chosen to align with her architectural style and objectives. The portfolio features a simple layout with a white background, ensuring that all details are clearly visible.

• Reflecting Personal Interests
Mahtab’s love for photography, art, and the history of art and architecture was woven throughout the portfolio. This approach showcased her multidimensional interests and suggested a unique worldview shaped by diverse experiences—an essential trait for creating unique architectural spaces.

At Zora, we undertook the challenge of creating a professional architecture portfolio for Shahab, designed to showcase his extensive experience while meeting the specific requirements of Australian companies. Our focus was on highlighting Shahab’s versatility as both a designer and drafter, ensuring each project demonstrated his expertise.

By addressing these aspects, we crafted a portfolio that met Australian companies’ stringent requirements while showcasing Shahab’s diverse talents and growth potential in architecture.

•Understanding Market Demands
We aligned the portfolio with Australian companies’ expectations by highlighting Shahab’s capabilities as a draftsman, presenting specialized documents like plans, sections, and details with meticulous attention to detail to emphasize his proficiency in phase two documentation.

• Highlighting Versatility
We showcased Shahab’s resume and academic achievements in a way that not only highlighted his expertise as a draftsman but also positioned him as a capable designer. This dual approach ensured that Shahab had opportunities in multiple roles within architectural firms.

• Emphasizing Visual Hierarchy
We arranged high-quality images with special visual weight, ensuring a logical order on each page. The most important document on each page was emphasized through size, accent color, or other methods to increase its visual weight and draw the audience’s eye.

• Focusing on Visual and Structural Design
We prioritized readability and clarity with a neutral white background and used orange accents to highlight key elements, enhancing comprehension without overwhelming the design.

•Emphasizing Detailed Project Descriptions
We meticulously categorized and edited each project’s description to include Shahab’s role, project challenges, and approaches, providing a comprehensive understanding of his contributions and problem-solving skills.

•Showcasing a Multidimensional Personality
We highlighted Shahab’s well-rounded personality by including his architectural travel experiences, volunteer activities, articles, and magazine contributions, showcasing his ability to expand his worldview and develop unique skills.

•Creating a Professional Presence
To enhance Shahab’s visibility and credibility in the job market, we guided him in creating professional profiles on LinkedIn, Behance, and other specialized social networks.

While this minimalist approach may have initially appeared simplistic, we recognized its power to elevate Sepideh’s projects to their fullest potential. Our collaboration with Sepideh was marked by regular meetings and open dialogue, ensuring that every aspect of the portfolio reflected her passion for the duality of past and future.

In essence, our goal was not to impose our design vision onto Sepideh’s portfolio, but rather to serve as a conduit for her artistic expression, allowing her work to shine through with clarity and authenticity.

Embark on the journey of translating Mohammad’s architectural vision into a captivating portfolio, meticulously crafted by Zora Design under the intense pressure of a 10-day deadline for his US master’s application. Designing Mohammad’s portfolio posed unique challenges, demanding a delicate balance between speed and maintaining impeccable quality. Guided by the university’s preference for creative submissions, we curated a layout that highlights Mohammad’s innovative approach to architecture.

Our goal was to ensure that, despite the time constraints, Mohammad’s portfolio would stand out for its creativity and meticulous presentation.

• Quality Enhancement: We improved the visual presentation of critical documents like sections and plans to ensure clarity and impact.

• Creative Presentation: Mohammad’s projects were organized to highlight his creative approach. The layout emphasized innovation and creativity.

• Incorporating Graphic Elements: Triangular shapes and graphic elements, prominent in Mohammad’s projects, were extracted and integrated into the portfolio. These elements were featured on the cover and throughout the layout to reflect a creative and innovative mindset.

• Color Palette: We used bright and prominent colors, especially yellow, which Mohammad favored, to represent his personality and make the portfolio visually striking.

Our creative journey with Pegah aimed to honor his Isfahan roots while showcasing his architectural prowess to the Italian market. Deeply passionate about his hometown’s historical identity, Pegah wanted his work to reflect the architectural lines and archetypes of Isfahan’s historic buildings. The main challenge was to encapsulate this unique approach in his portfolio.

By addressing these elements, we created a portfolio that not only met Pegah’s aspirations but also resonated with the historical depth and innovative spirit of his work, perfectly tailored for the Italian market. Explore our portfolio designs to see how we can bring your architectural vision to life.

The main challenge was to encapsulate this unique approach in his portfolio.

Highlighting Heritage in the Introduction
We began with a biography that featured an image of the iconic Si-o-Se Pol bridge, underscoring Pegah’s pride in his hometown, renowned as “half the world” for its rich civilization. This visual immediately conveyed Pegah’s deep connection to Isfahan and its influence on his work.

• Establishing a Hierarchical Project Layout
The project layout was meticulously structured to ensure the audience’s initial impression aligned with Pegah’s unique approach. The standout project, Jundi Shapur Library, which best illustrated his ability to infuse historical spatial qualities into modern design, was presented first. To enhance understanding, we included specially designed diagrams detailing the design process and spatial quality.

• Presenting Interior Design Projects with Precision
For Pegah’s interior design and architecture projects, we included comprehensive documentation, such as plans, key plans, renderings, and detailed views. These were presented with minimal graphic intervention and limited color use to allow the projects to speak for themselves, ensuring clarity and focus on the core designs.

• Thoughtful Use of Color and Graphics
The portfolio’s graphics predominantly utilized black and gold, Pegah’s preferred color palette. However, to avoid evoking notions of luxury and avant-garde that conflicted with Pegah’s traditional approach, these colors were applied sparingly and subtly. This choice maintained the focus on tradition and historical concepts central to Pegah’s vision.

Parisa’s portfolio successfully bridges the gap between academic and professional aspirations, showcasing her multifaceted skills and aligning perfectly with her goals in Germany.

Parisa, with her master’s degree in architecture, aimed to apply for both work and further education in Germany.

This dual objective posed a unique challenge: creating a portfolio that catered to both architectural firms and academic institutions in Germany.

• Project Arrangement and Hierarchy: Parisa’s portfolio includes one work project and four academic projects. The projects were arranged hierarchically, with the four academic projects presented first, followed by the work project. This sequence was carefully chosen to align with the goals of the destination country, ensuring a smooth transition between academic and professional content.

• Document Graphics and Visual Unity: To clearly showcase the approach and details of Parisa’s projects, we enhanced the graphics of all documents. Our goal was to achieve visual unity and coherence throughout the portfolio, coordinating the presentation of all projects. Architecture diagrams were produced for every project, adding clarity and depth.

• Color Scheme and Highlighting: We used nude colors for the background to maintain a neutral base, with sharp colors like red and orange to highlight important details. This strategic use of color ensured that key points stood out, increasing the readability of the portfolio and enhancing Parisa’s ability to convey her unique design style and approach in a short time.

• Detailed Design Process and Layout: The portfolio’s diagrams and texts clearly explained the design process, with well-proportioned layouts enhancing the overall presentation. This thorough explanation helped form a comprehensive understanding of Parisa’s work.

• Bilingual Presentation: Acknowledging the diverse audience in Germany, we presented the portfolio in both German and English, broadening its accessibility and appeal.

Sepideh’s journey into the world of architecture and design was ignited by an innate passion for creation, fostered by her father’s profession in tower construction. This fusion of influences led her to explore the intriguing duality between traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation, spanning across architecture, digital art, and industrial design. With a keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Sepideh embarked on a path where every project became a canvas for her artistic expression.

As she prepared to further her studies in America, Sepideh entrusted us with the task of crafting a portfolio that would eloquently showcase her exceptional body of work, reflecting the essence of her creative vision and impeccable craftsmanship.

Our first challenge lay in harmonizing the juxtaposition of past and future, encapsulating Sepideh’s profound connection to both realms and delineating a path forward that resonated with her aspirations. The second challenge involved translating Sepideh’s refined taste and exemplary projects into a presentation that would not only reflect her style but also serve as a testament to her expertise and dedication.

In response to Sepideh’s rich portfolio and discerning taste, our approach was one of subtle refinement and understated elegance. Embracing minimalism as our guiding principle, we sought to create a platform where her designs could speak for themselves, unhindered by unnecessary embellishments. Every element of the portfolio was meticulously curated to accentuate the purity and sophistication of Sepideh’s creations.

Zora team expertly presented my diverse projects, from industrial design to architecture, in a coherent and polished manner. Their meticulous and responsible approach ensured a consistent narrative throughout my portfolio, significantly boosting my chances of acceptance. Thanks to their outstanding work, I was accepted into 17 top universities in America. I highly recommend Zora to anyone seeking a professional, high-quality portfolio for prestigious university applications.– Sepideh
